Staring at a Manequin and singing about you

so it's thursday. I should be preparing more for my presentation, but I drank a bunch load of coffee so I'm all jittery and I have some a time to kill a mockingbird! oh gosh how much do i love those. eltonjohnlennon i could work for jeopardy. but i really could only write the clues for before and after and like when they go to sitcoms and tape the answers about tv.

so maybe not.

lastime on kat's korner you may have read about how much i love christmas. I still do, this morning I happen to be singing have yourself a merry little christmas in a pretty good judy garland impression if i do say so myself. I also sang an ode to coffee. this presentation is going to be awesome. oh lord.

so what's on tap for my weekend you might be asking yourself.

more school work. yes, dreadful i know. oh and an end of the year dinner (no calling it party- jehovah's witness) with the baby's room. so yeah can't say I'm really looking forward to the weekend either. haha. oh well.

one day it will be December 13th and that last exam that's a week later then all my other exams and got moved will be over and then I'll take a nap. until then...

lavishly yours,
Kat's Korner

the time between thanksgiving and christmas is my favorite

My thanksgiving was exceedingly pleasant!

All last week I worked on my pilgrim costume, which I finished in the nick of time on wednesday night.

I hope yours was too!

Friday morning shopping was intense and fun! I got a ton of christmas shopping crossed off the list!

I hung out with Holly on friday night and thanks to her I got to work on saturday! Although it was one of the more extreme hangovers of my life.

I have a research paper due tomorrow at 1 that I haven't started. oops! I also have a presentation due thursday that I also haven't started. For some reason I find this funny. Guess it's better than crying haha.

but i have decorated. it somehow seems less festive than I would prefer. I'll fix it later.

bagel bite, bake thyself

i had a 4 day weekend, and this week is a 3 day school week, followed by a 10 day weekend. awesome. If I didn't have 22 pages of research papers that I haven't started yet after thanksgiving then i would be jumping for joy.

i did sell a few things on craigslist yesterday. nice!

i have a bad habit of assuming people can read my mind.

story that was to follow seems difficult to write down in my present state.

i have really bad cramps those bitches!

but i'm making a pilgrim hat out of construction paper. the native american headdress came out much better.

i'm also working on a portrait of bob newhart, well work has kind of stalled, but you know whatever.

and i got my christmas cards for free in the mail today! be excited!!

let's leaving them wanting more

tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut. What up hair maintenance.

today I'm tired and grumpy due to lack of sleep and this unfortunate time change.

yesterday I worked in the nursery and it was really pleasant. I didn't get to hold a baby or anything, but you know what we played twister.

i started reading wise blood, flannery o'connor's first novel today, and it is really good so far. So i'll let you know how that goes. i know you're on the edge of your futon.

I'm really excited for Thanksgiving. so that's fun. I can't wait to decorate for Christmas plus Joanna Newsome at the ASO is just a few weeks away! woohoo

and i'm sure this school work will do itself. am i right? or am i right? or am i right?

my refrigerator smells disgusting! haha nice note. I did clean the rest of my apartment or something.

hmm ever had the vegetable tortilla chips from trader joe's? Usually I'm against such things, but this time it really works out. congrats.

and cheers to you, weekend!

Mr. Carlin is Bob Newhart's favorite patient on the Bob Newhart show

i need to get out of town, or all of my internal organs are going to explode.

I was just sitting in my bathroom floor rearranging my bathroom cabinet remembering that I had been mentally reminding myself to change my sheets for 2 weeks and then I realized how disgusting my apartment is. It's like when you see one ant and then you realize that you just stepped in a pile and you're surrounded by thousands. After this realization I had the urge to drive in my car. If I still lived in Alpharetta I would go to 24 hour Walmart. The only thing that's opened 24 hours around here is Kroger. And I am in no need of groceries. Well actually I am out of groceries, but i'm trying not to buy groceries anymore because I feel my girth growing under me, literally.

so here i am in my dirty apartment the floors covered in tissues from my unrelenting cold, all other surfaces coated with dust and glasses from my attempts to stay hydrated during said cold.

I skipped school on tuesday, in my first sick day since high school. And I must say it felt really good. Not quite as good, considering most of my free time is now spent engaging in sick day activities: sleeping, watching television, and not bathing.

I really hadn't intended to make this depressing, but thems the brakes. And since only 1 person reads this, I'll do an individual apology. I'm sorry Holly. Happy Returns, my apartment and attitude will be cleaner next week.
